hi, friends!

With all that is going on in the world right now, unfortunately there seems to be no truly safe way to celebrate the holiday of love except for at home. I’ve put together three fun Valentine’s Day dates that you can pull off at home!

Make a really nice dinner

Most Valentine’s Day celebrations revolve around food so what better way to spoil your love than with a really nice meal? Make something special that you wouldn’t normally make on a normal day or if you have no cooking abilities, find a local restaurant that is offering pickup and plate the food nicely at home. Don’t forget the candles!

When M and I started dating, it was too early to properly celebrate Valentine’s Day (we weren’t even officially boyfriend and girlfriend yet!), so I invited him over and made a great meal. I made steaks in my cast iron skillet, twice baked potatoes, and my mom’s green bean recipe and it was a hit! I still credit those steaks for me eventually locking M down 😉

Some other ideas for nicer meals:

Engagement Chicken

Lava Cakes

Steak

Surf n Turf

Game Night

While you may be sick of puzzles, it’s still a fun way to spend an evening with your love. Put your phones away, turn on some fun music, and get to puzzling!

Or if you’re more of a board game couple, grab your favorite one, pour a glass of wine and play to your heart’s content!

Another option could be to make a fort in the living room or bedroom and play in there!

Virtual Experiences

Virtual experiences are all the rage right now due to COVID, and what better way to combine a gift and an experience?

There are so many fun ones, like cheese and wine pairing classes (highly recommend Murray’s, pasta making classes, and art classes.

I hope you find these helpful, let me know what your plans for Valentine’s Day are in the comments below!
